Savings goal calculator
Enter what you're saving for, what you've already put aside and how many months you have. See how much to save each month, each week and each day to get there.
Saved at the start of each month, with interest added monthly on what's there. Leave the interest at 0 if the money sits in a normal account.
Savings that come out first
Set a savings goal in Aomly and it takes the monthly amount out of your pay before your daily budget, like a bill. You see the goal fill up month by month, and what you can still spend each day.
- Savings taken out before the daily budget
- Your savings outlook for the year
- Unspent days can top up your savings
Reaching the goal
Save on payday
Move the monthly amount to a separate account the day you're paid, before anything else, so it isn't there to spend.
Make the goal concrete
A goal with an amount and a date is easier to keep than "save more". Name it: a trip, an emergency fund, a deposit.
Start with an emergency fund
Three to six months of bills set aside means a surprise cost doesn't go on a credit card at 16%.
Small amounts add up
฿100 a day is ฿36,500 a year. If the monthly number feels too big, look at it as a daily one.
Questions
How is the monthly amount worked out?
What's left to reach the goal, spread over the months, less what interest adds. For example ฿100,000 in 12 months with nothing saved yet is about ฿8,334 a month, or about ฿274 a day.
Should I count interest?
Only if the money sits in a savings account or fund that pays it. Thai savings accounts pay little, so leaving it at 0 keeps the plan on the safe side.
How big should an emergency fund be?
A common rule is three to six months of your bills and everyday spending, kept somewhere you can reach quickly.
Is it free? Is anything saved?
It's free, with no account to make. The numbers stay on this page and aren't sent anywhere.
